Dennis Dean Lake of Union County, 60, went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at his home.
Dennis was born on August 22, 1955, at a US Army Hospital in Baumholder, Germany. He graduated from Union County High School in 1975 and proceeded to work on the family farm for 21 years. After moving to Connersville, Dennis worked through Landmark Services for several years, at Kroger for 17 years and finally with Anthony Wayne Services for 4 years.
Dennis is survived by his parents: Norman and Betty Lake; siblings and their spouses: Fuzzy & Joyce Lake, Richard & Lynne Lake and Cindy & Kevin Hancock; nephews: Matt and his wife: Jennifer, Mike, Ben, Jordan, Josh and Nick; niece: Elizabeth; great-nephew: Dylan; great-niece: Addy; extended family and friends in the church and throughout the community.
Dennis was an active member of Alquina United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed attending sports events within the community, especially if a nephew or a niece was involved! He was an active sports enthusiast but his deepest love of football was for his team, the Cincinnati Bengals. No truer fan could be found.
Visitation will occur on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Alquina United Methodist Church located at 4436 E Alquina Rd, Connersville, IN 47331 with the funeral service held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM also at the church; interment will be following at Dunlapsville Cemetery.
