Indianapolis - Dennis Eugene "Denny" Day, 82, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017.
Mr. Day was born October 10, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Howard and Kathrina Day. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Allison Gas Turbine where he served as a machinist.
Mr. Day was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas and James Day. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Day and Jeanne (Jeff) Day; sons, Steven (Anissa) Day, Ronald Day, William (Beverly) Day, Lester Day and Darren (Marisa) Day; sisters, Patricia Henry and Rochelle Woodard; brothers, Richard and Jerry Day; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and many other friends and relatives.
Mr. Day's family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2017, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 10 am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Old Oaklandon Cemetery in Indianapolis.
