Della Mae Fuquay

Indianapolis - Della Mae Fuquay, 87, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020. She was born August 25, 1933 in Bell County, KY to the late Mike and Clara Helton Sizemore. Della served her family as a homemaker and one of her sons said that when he and his brothers and sisters were growing up, all the kids in the neighborhood loved their mom's oatmeal.

Della enjoyed spending winters with her late husband, Bob Fuquay at their home in Pomona Park, FL. Additionally, she enjoyed reading the Bible and many other books. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially IU and UK basketball, but more than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family.

Della was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Fuquay; son, Eddie Johnson; granddaughter, Trinity; and brothers: Roy, Arville, Pearl and Nelson. She is survived by her sons: Shirl Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Stefani , Tony Johnson and his wife, Lariann and Darrell Johnson; daughters, Linda Harlos and Stephanie Groce and her husband, Dave; grandchildren: Cory, Erika, Trevor, Trent, Lynn, Marrell, Delancy, Noah, Devann and Garrett; 11 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

A celebration of Della's life will be conducted in Bell County, KY in May of 2021. The family requests that donations be made in Della's memory to the charity of your choice.
