Deena Hartley

Indianapolis - Deena Claudine Hartley age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1956, the daughter of Charles Janke and Carole (Greene) Kendall in Indianapolis. Deena was a 1972 graduate of North Central High School. She enjoyed collecting bears, cooking and tippin the can. Deena had a relaxed personality and just simply enjoyed life. She liked to watch television and had a huge heart for animals. More than anything else, Deena loved her family and was an amazing caregiver to all.

Deena is survived by 3 children, Tammy Kane, Paul Janke and Kylee Hartley; siblings, Charles Janke and Kellie Veerkamp; grandchildren, Donny Logan, Jada Tinsley, Jayden Lopez, Draven Kane, Hunter Janke, Mecyna Kane, Domanick Logan, Daylen Logan, Paul Janke, Jr., Daymen Logan and Riley Janke; great-grandchild, Olivia Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deena is preceded in death by her parents and spouse, Darren Thomas.

Visitation for Deena's family and friends will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions at 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. A funeral service celebrating Deena's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the funeral home.
