Debra "Debbie" Susan Smith, 62, passed away on December 9, 2019. She was born October 23, 1957 in Indianapolis to her parents, Darwin and Ann Marie Smith (Bell).
She was a member of the American Legion Post 88, where she spent countless hour caring for the veterans and their families.
Debbie is survived by her sisters Mary Kindred and Glenda Phillips, many nieces and nephews, and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Brenda Sanderfer and Darlene Fendley.
Debra's family will receive friends Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 4 pm - 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will be conducted Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 10 am at the funeral home with Chaplain Mike Concel officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood.
