Debra Darlene Shelton

Debra Darlene (Dennis) Shelton, 59, passed away at 1:31 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Life Care Center of The Willows in Valparaiso, IN. She was born on July 14, 1962 to the late Richard G. and Floretta M. (Eli) Dennis in Frankfort, Indiana.

Debra graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1982. She was a great homemaker caring for her children and grandchildren most of her life. Debra enjoyed the outdoors, playing cards and Facebook games. She loved lions, Elvis Presley and Betty Boop. Debra took pleasure in spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Christopher Rives II, Amanda Houser and Leila Ellis; her siblings: Mitzi Moon, Natasha Hicks, Kristina Snowden, Sandra Ramirez, Marcelta Gomez, Helen Dennis and Joyce Grissom; and her grandchildren: Nicholas Rives, Dylan Rives, Braiden Houser, Gabriel Quinones, Alaina Ellis, Gavin Wise, Gracie Houser, Renai Brust, Kaila Brust, Deirdre Gomez and Lynn Ellis. In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Dennis.

Debra's friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Doug Lindle officiating.
