Debra Sue Mcclellan

Debra Sue McClellan, age 70 of Mooresville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at The Springs of Mooresville in Mooresville. She was born March 21, 1952 in Indianapolis the daughter of Carl Thomas "Tom" and Rhea Atkinson. Debra was a 1969 graduate of Northwest High School in Indianapolis. She worked for over 20 years as an administrative assistant at Eagle Creek Elementary School. Before working as an administrative assistant for the school, Debra worked at the Commission for Higher Education in Indianapolis. She enjoyed watching her favorite shows in the evenings with her sister, Bonnie. Debra loved her 2 cats, Little Girl and Big Girl. Debra loved being a mom and taking care of her family. She was a caring, thoughtful and giving mother, grandmother and sister.

Debra is survived by her 2 sons, Jason (wife Sandy) McClellan and Matt (wife Kelly) McClellan; mother, Rhea Atkinson; sister, Bonnie Bland; 2 grandsons, Maxwell McClellan and Ty McClellan; and several extended family members and friends.

Debra is preceded in death by her father, Carl Thomas "Tom" Atkinson.

Debra's wishes were to be cremated and have no public gathering or service. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Indianapolis is honored to handle Debra's arrangements.
