Indianapolis – Deborah Elaine Parker-Fishback, age 58, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born to Buster Parker and the late Joan (Barber) Hammons on May 8, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Deborah was united in marriage on July 19, 1999 to John Fishback at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and were together for 36 years.
Deborah was a Barbie fanatic and cherished her doll collection. She loved watching soap operas and her favorite was the Young and the Restless. Deborah enjoyed listening to classic rock music, attending cookouts and taking the children to the park when they were younger. She loved her family deeply and her many dogs: Meg, Roxie, Lucy "Zippy", Suzy and Eleanor. Deborah's favorite flower was Lilacs. She was a homemaker most of her life and was fortunate to spend so much time raising her children. Deborah was loving, kind and quick witted.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Fishback; her children, Justin Parker, John Parker and Michael Fishback; her siblings, Larry (Laura) Hammons, Kenny (Lorie) Parker and Lyn Parker; her sister-in-law, Cathy Syra; her nephews, Robert Martinez, John Martinez and Steven Parker; her nieces, Sara Cohen, Shannon Jones, Susan Evans, Stephanie Cazzell and Stacy Daughtery; and her father Buster (Marsha) Parker; as well as many extended relatives. In addition to her mother, Deborah was preceded in death by her sister, Lori Martinez and brother, Alfie Parker.
Deborah's friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Susan Nyquist officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.
