David M. Cline, Sr.

David M. "Dave" Cline, Sr., age 77 of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born December 25, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of James and Earline (Walls) Cline. Dave was a 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School and following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. He served as a medic in the Army during peacetime. For over 20 years, Dave worked for Aero Drapery. He started working for the company while they were in Indiana and followed them to work in Georgia. He also worked in manufacturing for Perfection Products and General Cable before retiring from working. Dave married Laura Smith on January 25, 2018 in Lebanon. Dave enjoyed being outdoors in general, but he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. In his younger years, Dave had horses and liked to go horseback riding. He loved all types of animals and even had a pet skunk at one point in time. Dave was a jokester and liked to find the bright side of life.

Dave is survived by his wife, Laura Cline; 6 children, David "Mike" (wife Kim) Cline, Jr., Rick Cline, Kathy (husband Brian) Jedwabny, Gregory (wife Tracy) Cline, Stacy (husband Jeff) Kingsbury and Heather (husband Tim) Rhoades; 2 step daughters, Destiny (husband Keith) Martin and Erin Creasy; sister, Debbie Cline; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Nick, Aaron, Kasi, Jared, Brandon, Gregory Jr., Christopher, Jessica, Justin, Megan, Shelby and Tyler; 24 great-grandchildren, Abby, Wyatt, Maddie, Lincoln, Aiden, Charlie Mae, Austin, Kayden, Sawyer, Riley, Carson, Logan, Camden, Charleigh, Everleigh, Brantley, Austin, Sofia, Aurora, Sarah, Mae, Jack, Waylon and Nora; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Jimmy Cline and Terry Cline; 2 sisters, Sherry Cline Walters and Margaret Ann Cline Watson; and 2 grandsons, Cody Jedwabny and Logan Kingsbury.

Dave's wishes were to be cremated and have no formal services. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions is honored to help the family of Dave's by arranging his cremation services. The family will be having a celebration of life gathering Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Senior Citizens Center, 707 S. Lebanon Street Lebanon, IN 46052.
