David Joe Burke

David Joe Burke, age 69 of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born February 12, 1953 to Joseph and Geneva (Coen) Burke. Dave was a 1971 graduate of Harry E. Wood High School in Indianapolis. He worked in construction for most of his life. Dave enjoyed playing poker and camping. He loved to ride his motorcycle and watch NASCAR.

Dave's family includes his brother, Dan Burke; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Burke and T.J. Burke; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phil Burke; son, Ricky Burke; and niece, Melinda Burke.

A memorial service celebrating Dave's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis with his family officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday prior to the service at Newcomer Funeral Home.
