Dan Younce

Dan Younce born May 2, 1933, was reunited with the love of his life, Marilyn, on February 12, 2022 when he peacefully passed into the arms of his Savior.

He was one of three children born to Margaret and Hubert Younce in Dayton, Ohio, moving to Muncie, Indiana his senior year of high school. He helped his mother manage drive-in theatres and concession stands, as well as owning a Coney dog stand his junior year of high school. His army time took him to Alaska and Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. After marrying, Dan and Marilyn settled in Indianapolis where they raised their three children. Dan worked as Installation Manager for Sears Roebuck & Co. He felt called to Christian ministry in 1978, and moved to Pensacola, Florida to attend Liberty Bible College. Upon completion of his degree, he and Marilyn provided free counseling to numerous individuals and couples. God provided for them in many creative ways. Dan had a variety of part-time jobs where he used his organizational, leadership, and sales skills. He was a wise man in both practical and spiritual matters and used his gifts to serve the church.

Dan, along with Marilyn, spent hours and hours visiting shut-ins on Sunday afternoons. Together, they loved people well and never met a stranger. He adored his wife and family and frequently spoke of the longevity of their marriage and that they were "Married for Life." They loved their children fiercely, Gary (Lucy) Younce, Carolyn (Joe) Hubbs, and Danita (Jeff) Wolma. Dan and Marilyn were so grateful that their children, all three, loved them well and are followers of Jesus. Dan was especially grateful for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a prayer warrior for family and friends.
