Dallas Lee Mckinney

Indianapolis - Dallas Lee McKinney, Jr. passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020. He was born December 6, 1956 in Washington, IN to Mable Owens and the late Dallas McKinney, Sr. Dallas worked as an engineer for Lincoln Properties for many years, and achieved his associate's degree in HVAC. He enjoyed cooking, camping and playing Dungeons &Dragons with the same group of friends for over 40 years. He loved life and always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Dallas was preceded in death by his father, Dallas McKinney Sr.; foster parents, Lee Lee and Russell Hedge; and nephew, John Kelly Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Katherine; mother, Mable Owens; beautiful daughters: Nicky Love and her fiancé, Mike Fultz, Leah Kelley and her husband, Jake and Jana Davis and her husband, Neil; 1 beautiful stepdaughter, Misty Shadowens and her husband, Wesley.; sisters: Laura, Ginny and Theresa; brother, Steve; grandchildren: Billy, Tangela, Mercedes, Spencer, Cameron, Chelsea , Madison, Milo, Lylah, Lillian, Cailyn and Wesley Jr.; great grandson, Jackson; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Dallas' family will receive friends Friday, January 31, 2020, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 12 pm at Faith Assembly of God, 186 Royal Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46107.
