Indianapolis - Cynthia Ann "Sis" Shepard Renihan, 50, went to be with her late father, Raymond E. Shepard, in paradise Saturday, November 21, 2020. Cynthia, also referred to as "Sis" by her family and friends, was born September 1, 1970 in Shelbyville, IN to Bernita McNicholas Wilson and the late Raymond E. Shepard. Cynthia was employed by Anthem Insurance Company, where she served as a claims processor for over ten years.
Cynthia had a body of art. That is to say, that about 80% of her body was covered in tattoos and she was not ashamed to show them off. She won multiple awards and trophies from tattoo conventions.
Cynthia was often found lying in bed watching "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful". When she was out and about, she was seldom seen without her cell phone or her 64 oz. Speedway jug filled with Coca Cola. That jug of Coke road shotgun with her and was always safely buckled into a seat belt.
Cynthia inherited her fearlessness and stubbornness from her mother, Bernita. She was also very blunt and honest so if you were very sensitive, Cynthia wasn't someone you would want to be around. She lived with and helped her mother and became quite attached to her mother's Maltese, Gizmo. She is loved and will be missed by many.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, David Renihan; mother, Bernita Wilson; daughter, Leah Renihan; sons: Dustin, David and Daniel Renihan; sisters: Tina Shepard, Tammy Coop and Lori Bray; brother, David Shepard; grandchildren: Raymond, James and Reign Renihan; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.
Cynthia's family will receive friends Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from 3 – 7 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. For the health and safety of all guests attending, face masks are required. Thank you.
