Cody Jake Semenick, 27, died at 11:57 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the loving son of Sidney D. Ryder and Karen Elaine (Semenick) Barber. Cody was born on April 18, 1995 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He attended Ben Davis High School. Cody is known for his unique tattoos. He enjoyed listening to music, playing video games and fishing. Cody loved his family deeply.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Elaine Barber and her husband, Jeff; his father, Sidney D. Ryder and his wife, Alexiss; his son, Sebastian Semenick; his siblings: Jasmine Harris, Chelsea Barber, Tyler Barber, Jada Quarles, Alexys Taylor, Thomas Ryder and Noah Ryder; his nephew, Ayden; his grandmothers, Debra and Peggy; as well as a host of cousins, extended relatives and friends. Cody was preceded in death by his uncle, Jonathan and his grandfathers, Paul and Wayne.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
