Christopher Michael Miner, born on September 21, 1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on March 17, 2025, in his hometown. Christopher was an award-winning artist and painter, known for his creativity and passion that shone through in his artwork. He graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1992, where he laid the foundations for a life filled with artistic expression and diverse interests.
Christopher had a vibrant and lively personality, described by those who knew him as passionate, friendly, and exceptionally humorous. He possessed a remarkable ability to uplift those around him with his wit and laughter. He was a man of great integrity, always ready to lend a hand or support a friend, regardless of his own struggles. His kindness was reflected in his willingness to give selflessly; friends recall how he would give you the shirt off his back and even sit with you in the rain. Towards the end of his life, Christopher expressed a deep interest in studying to become a pastor.
A devoted family man, Christopher cherished spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He had a deep love for basketball, particularly the Indiana Pacers, and enjoyed music, skateboarding, and the companionship of dogs. These varied interests painted a picture of a man who fully embraced life and its many joys. His proudest accomplishments included achieving a black belt in Karate and having a profound admiration for Bruce Lee, whose wisdom he often quoted, notably, “If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. If you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. If you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
Christopher is survived by his beloved son, Christopher Miner; daughter, Alyssa Miner; father, Ron Redelman; grandchildren: Adalia Miner, Novalee Perez, Noah Miner, Melanie Miner, and Ozias Miner; brothers: Brian Miner, Charles, Perkins and Kevin Perkins; and his sister, Mitzi Miner. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lowry Miner.
