Charles Clay, 69, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Indianapolis. Charles was born on October 26, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Glenn and Margie (Gant) Clay.
Charles loved the Lord and was an Associate pastor with the Grace Community Church; he was a semi-truck driver for a few companies over the years and retired from Yellow Freight. He enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working, cooking and eating, watching western movie; especially the ones with John Wayne.
Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sondra Clay; daughters and their spouses: Angie (Chad) Hayden, Sharlene (Roger) Crase, Amy (Amy) Clay; grandchildren: Christopher, Josh, Chastity, Breanna, Tyler, Logan; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Elleigh, Shelby, Kelsie, Skylynn, Piper, Oakley, Carly, siblings: David, James, Bobby, Tammie, Kryse; step-father: Bob Faucett; former daughter-in-law: Jaime Carr and a host of family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Glenda.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10 A.M. until his Funeral Service at 12 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis 46227. Interment will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
