Cathie Lane Rush

INDIANAPOLIS – Cathie Lane (Booher) Rush, 77, passed away at 7:59 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at her residence. She was born on March 31, 1947 to the late Charles Everett and Juanita Pauline (Smith) Booher in Burkesville, Kentucky. Cathie was united in marriage on September 25, 1965 to Leslie H. Rush in Byrdstown, Tennessee.

Cathie graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1982. She started working for CVS on March 22, 1994 as a warehouse order picker and retired on March 22, 2014. Formerly, Cathie worked as a cashier at Sears Outlet for 10 years. She loved spending time with her family and cherished her children and grandchildren.

Cathie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 59 years, Leslie H. Rush; sons, Leslie H. “Les” Rush III and Gary Rush; brother, Larry Booher and his wife, Alva; aunt, Madeline Russell; grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Jarrett, Annie and Shawn Rush; and great grandchildren: Lezlie, Benton, Bailey and Kenley Ferguson.

Cathie’s friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Brent Booher officiating. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery, 2703 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225.
