Carolyn June Ailes

Indianapolis - Carolyn June Ailes, 73, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020. She was born June 4, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Howard and Marjorie Ford Passwater. She was employed in the warehouse industry. After her retirement, she enjoyed birdwatching, shopping, drinking coffee and listening to her favorite music, but more than anything else, she loved spending time with her family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marjorie Ford Passwater; sister, Patricia Passwater Adams; brothers, Howard "Dieno" Passwater and Ronald Passwater; granddaughter, Asheley Hinz; and her beloved husbands. She is survived by her sons, James "Jimmy" Hinz, II and his wife, Cathy and Howard Daniel "Danny" Hinz and his wife, Stephanie; sisters: Darlene Passwater Miller, Joyce Passwater Eyster and her husband, Allen and Deborah Passwater Underwood; 10 grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Carolyn's family will receive friends Wednesday, June 24, 2020, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.
