Candie Melissa Hicks, 50, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Candie was born February 8, 1969 in Manchester, KY to John Hoskins and Joan Bernard.
She worked as a Home Health Nurse for many years, but her greatest joy in life was raising her four children. In most recent years her world revolved around being with her loving grandchildren.
Candie was preceded in death by her sister, Crystal Bray.
She is survived by her parents; children; Brandon, Ashley, Haley, and Dana Hicks; siblings; Terry Mara, Penney Bray, Evonda Stull, Tina Ellison, and Donna Neace; grandchildren; Brianna, Natalie, Timothy. Candie is also survived by her niece; Alyssa Stewart, nephews; Jordan Thurman, Mark Salcedo, Brayden Cruse and many other loving family members and friends.
Candies' family will receive friends Monday, December 30, 2019, from 4-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home at 925 East Hanna Avenue in Indianapolis. A celebration of her life will be conducted Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 10 am at Trinity Fellowship Church of God at 440 St. Peter Street in Indianapolis. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery in Whitestown, Indiana.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
