Buford J. Ison

Buford J. Ison, age 63 of Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Bloomington Care Center. He was born April 26, 1959 in Indianapolis the son of James B. and Stella M. (Jones) Ison. Buford worked many years for Capital Fence Company in Indianapolis in fencing construction. He truly enjoyed his work and was able to maintain top strength by working hard. Buford enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was deeply loved by all of his family.

Buford is survived by 3 children, Jason Ison, April Ison and Tally Ison; 6 siblings, Ronnie (Penny) Ison, Rita Ferch, Jim Ison, Susie Lieber, Larry Ison and Timmy Ison; 10 grandchildren, Sierra Ison, Cody Ison, Haley France, Skylar Ison, Skyla Ison, Daisy Deen, Karmen Ison, Faith Deen, Aleah Deen and Chloe Dean; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Buford is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betsy Ison; 2 sisters, Judy Kennedy Jessup and Carla Gaalema; and daughter, Holly Ison.

Buford's wishes were to be cremated and have no formal services at this time. The family will plan to have a celebration of life at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Indianapolis is honored to handle Buford's arrangements.
