Brenda Joyce Adkins

Indianapolis - Brenda Joyce Adkins, 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born July 14, 1940 in Owensboro, KY to the late Virgil and Ruby Campbell Clark. She lovingly served her family as a homemaker.

Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ruby Clark; sons, Johnny and Kenneth Wayne Adkins; granddaughter, Rachel Howard; sister, Mary "Sissy" Huber; brothers, Bob and Ronald Clark; and brother-in-law, Ernest Huber. She is survived by her son, Hubert Adkins, Jr.; brothers: Eddie (Linda), Gary (Vicky), Dennis (Eileen) and Kenneth Allen Clark; sisters, Carol (Gene) Sowder and Teresa Clark; grandchildren: Tony (Leslie), Jesse, Kevin and Kenneth J. (Sara) Adkins; granddaughter she raised, Angela (Dennis) Fecker; daughter-in-law, Lisa Adkins; sister-in-law, Linda Clark; 16 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Mrs. Adkins' family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2020, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be conducted privately at Round Hill Cemetery.
