Bonnie Jean Sipes

Indianapolis - Bonnie Jean Taggart Sipes passed away on Thursday, April 18, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on July 31, 1951 to the late James Franklin Sr. and Betty Louise Taggart in Shelby County, Indiana. Bonnie attended Decatur schools and the Herron School of Art & Design. She enjoyed painting, writing short stories, listening to music and spending time with her family. She was a devoted Christian. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren fiercely. She will be forever missed.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Sr. and Betty Louise Taggart and her brother James Franklin Taggart Jr. She is survived by her former spouse, William Russell Sipes, Sr. and their children, daughter Bonnie Lou Hovey and her husband Dennis Christopher Hovey of Indianapolis, IN; her son William Russell Sipes, Jr. and his wife Donna Kay Sipes of Waldron, IN; her grandchildren Devin Russell Sipes, Matthew Christopher Hovey, Derrik Russell Sipes (Bryce Eoff), Ryon Lee Sipes (Karly Sipes), Anthony Joseph Gibbs (Terra Gibbs) and Tierra Marie Hoban (Tyler Hoban); her great-grandchildren, Zane Anthony Hoban, Rune Joseph Hoban, Jovie Kay Hoban, Korra Lee Sipes and Kaiya Jane Sipes; and her siblings Betty Ann Shook (Larry), Jennie Mae Daughtery (Cecil ‘Mark’), Timothy Dean Taggart (Julie), William Michael Taggart (Terri), Sherrie Lynn Pate (John), Tina Marie Best (Michael), Kristi Lou Taggart, Elizabeth Dawn Dodrill (Russell) and Andrew Lee Taggart (Misty).
