Betty Jean Hines

Indianapolis – Betty Jean Hines, 77, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021. She was born September 5, 1944 in Bowling Green, KY to the late John Douglas Gregory and Gloria Mae Miller Pursley. Mrs. Hines was employed as a manager in the retail industry. Her hobbies included doing puzzles and coloring. She also enjoyed shopping, playing games and dancing. She loved visiting her hometown and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William D. Hines; daughter, Alicia Mae Peyton; parents, John Douglas Gregory and Gloria Mae Miller Pursely; sisters, Goldia Mae Pursley and Silvia Mae Pursley; brother, Paul Gregory; and grandson, Lance Peyton. She is survived by her daughter, Debra K. Gallagher and her husband, Thomas; son, Donald d. Hines and his wife, Candy; sister, Donna Gregory; brothers: John Douglas Gregory, Jr. and his wife, Star, David Gregory and his wife, Janice, Jesse Gregory and his wife, Patty and Jerry Gregory and his wife, Gladys; grandchildren: Christina Chaney, Regina Miller, Donald Hines, Jr. Douglas Fry, Connie Godbold; Maranda Peyton, Heather Klinker, Phillip Klinker and Rita Klinker; several great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Services for Mrs. Hines will be conducted privately.
