Betty J. Foster Hampton Windmiller

Greenwood – Betty J. Foster Hampton Windmiller, 95, passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Greenwood Meadows in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born on April 23, 1925 to Thomas R. and Grace (Dewey) Foster in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Betty was one of eleven children. She attended Roachdale High School. Betty spent the winters in Okeechobee, Florida. She was a member of NCHA for many years and went camping often when she was younger. She was united in marriage on December 21, 1941 to the late Robert K. Windmiller in Roachdale, Indiana. Betty was a cashier at Turn Style for 22 years. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Betty was extremely social and she loved spending time with family and friends.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Judy Smith and Bobby Windmiller and her daughter-in-laws, Nita and Leann Windmiller. Additionally, she is survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Windmiller; her sons, William Windmiller and Timothy Windmiller; her son-in-law, John Smith; her daughter-in-law, Dee Windmiller; and her parents, Thomas R. and Grace Foster.

Betty's friends and family can visit from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Elderidge officiating. In lieu of flowers, direct memorial contributions in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association or the National Kidney Foundation. A private burial will be held at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
