Barbara Ann Mccormick

Indianapolis - Barbara Ann McCormick, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was born May 3, 1947 in Gainesboro, TN. Mrs. McCormick was employed as a health care worker for most of her life. She was a woman of deep faith and enjoyed caring for others. Her family described her as having an open heart and open home to everyone. Mrs. McCormick was feisty and willed herself to live a year and a half longer than doctors said she would. She adored spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita McCormick; sister, Bettye Allen; and brothers, Bobby and Billy Lawson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, James McCormick; daughter, Tamara McCormick; mother, Lucille Lawson; sisters: Katherine Loftis, Lyda Wright and Linda Young; granddaughter, Brooke Sanders; great-granddaughters, Ella and Lillie Sanders; and many other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday, May 27, 2019 at 1 pm at Holladay Church of Christ,1765 Mine Lick Creek Road, Cookeville, TN 38501.
