Barbara Lou(Drotz) Bender

Barbara Lou (Drotz) Bender, 77, of Palmrya, Indiana, passed away on August 18, 2016, at her home. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Robert and Gertrude (Kidwell) Drotz. She attended the Nazarene Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, and worked as a secretary for many years at Horner Electric. Barbara enjoyed camping, reading, and working crossword puzzles.

Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings. She is survived by her loving children, Katherine Denniston (Claude) and Ronald Bender (Linda); many siblings; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bradley), Ronnie Jr., Erich, Zachary, and Nicholas; and extended family.

Her visitation will be on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (925 East Hannah Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227) with service to follow at 7:00 p.m.
