Indianapolis – Barbara Joan (Hughes) Hill, 63, entered into rest at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday, April 5, 1957 to the late Donald and Mary "Lucille" (Soladine) Hughes.
Barbara attended Seymour High School and then graduated from Harry E. Wood High School, class of 1975. She was united in marriage on Saturday, September 27, 1975 to Randy K. Hill at the Church of The Nazarene in Seymour, Indiana. Barbara had worked at the Hampton Inn in Southport, Indiana for 11 years. She loved shopping, thrift stores and Goodwill trips with her parents on Friday's. She enjoyed listening to music and playing card games with her grandkids.
Barbara leaves behind her loving husband, Randy K. Hill; her children: Keith Hill and his wife, Amanda and Jeremy Hill; her grandchildren: Jessica Hill and her husband, Chris, Gage Hill and his wife, Brittany, Xandria Hill, Kaden Hill and Kelton Hill; her great grandchildren: Neytiri Lampkin, Aarianna Hill, Lincoln Hill, Christopher Lampkin Jr. and Emmett Hill; and her sisters Donna Shouse and her husband, Bill, Denise Wilcox, and Beverly Tetrick and her husband, Bruce.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Hughes; her sisters, Karen Hull, Cathi Duvall and Debbie Fisher; and her parents, Mary "Lucille" (Soladine) Hughes and Donald Hughes.
Barbara's family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Friends and family may also visit from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rodney Fee officiating. For the health and safety of all guest attending, face masks are required. Thank you.
