Indianapolis – Austin Keith Baldwin, Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Mr. Baldwin, or Keith to his many friends and family, was born February 22, 1952 in Martinsville, IN. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Mr. Baldwin was employed as a corrections officer for many years. He retired from UTC carrier with 13 years of service. He was a longtime member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Baldwin is survived by his beloved wife, Carma; daughters, Nicole (Noah) Grimes, Julee (Jerry)Higgens and Hollee Sayres; foster son, Jamie King; grandchildren, Charles Vankempen, Taylor Mccubbins, Lauren Fletcher, Aaron Hacker, Megan Baldwin, Matthew Hacker and Olivia Sayres; great grandchildren, Raleigh Mccubbins, Ashton Mccubbins and Khloe Guinn; close friends, Mike Sayres and Jeff Hinkebein; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Baldwin's family requests that donations be made to assist with funeral expenses and the construction of a wheelchair ramp in the family home, one of many projects that Mr. Baldwin was trying to do for Mrs. Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin's family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 4 – 8 pm, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2018, at 11 am at Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, 1326 East Sumner Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227 with the Rev. Randy Perry officiating. A committal service will follow at Concordia Cemetery.
