Greenwood – Astiana Maria Rayn Sanchez, aged 2 months and five days, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was born at St. Francis Hospital Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 4:07 PM, weighing in at 8 pounds 9 ounces. She was 20 inches long and had a full head of beautiful, dark black hair.
Astiana was the loving daughter of Adolpho Sanchez and Rachael Curtis. During her brief visit on earth, she enjoyed watching the stars in her bedroom, her peek-a-boo bunny, her brother holding her and her sister reading books to her. Astiana loved laying on her daddy's chest, watching Moana. She also loved bath time and spending time with her mom. She was loved by all who met her and will be deeply missed.
Astiana is survived by her father, Adolpho Sanchez; her mother, Rachael Curtis; her grandparents: Hopie (Matt) Dominguez, Raul (Cindy) Romero, Katherine Soto, Richard (Leslie) Curtis, Jesse Garcia and Wanda McQueen; her siblings, Augustine Sanchez, Avianna Lee and Ayden Lee; her aunts and uncles: Christina McQueen, Nitasha Rogers, Camerino Soto, Stephanie (Zach) Bruhy, Jennifer Curtis, Amy Curtis, Misty (Dustin) Jordan, Jessica (Keston) Schneider, Marisela Garcia and Margarita Garcia; and her great aunts and uncles: Jesse (Tammy) Garcia, Danny (Ava) Garcia, Anita (Jaun) Lebron, Floyd (Sandra) McQueen, Irene (Johnny) Hornaday, Richard (Angie) McQueen, Robert Curtis and Lisa (Earnest) Grant. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gracianna Sanchez; her grandpa, Adolpho Sanchez; and great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Sanchez, Jessie (Susie) Garcia, Patricia Gail Hurt and Harry Shannon McQueen.
Astiana's guests may visit from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Garry Brackett officiating.
