Anna Lou Stewart

BEECH GROVE – Anna Lou (Carey) Stewart, 73, passed away at 6:16 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late Alvin B. Jr. and Anna B. (Kopp) Carey on May 30, 1950 in Beech Grove, Indiana.

Anna graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. In her leisure, she played word games on both her computer and kindle. Anna was an avid crafter and would travel to craft fairs to sell her projects. She made many different types of crafts but wood working was by far her favorite. Anna cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time with the grandchildren. Anna enjoyed watching the TV series "The Young & the Restless", solving jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.

Anna is survived by her loving son, Jason Stewart and his wife, Peggy; her brother, Robert B. Carey and his wife, Pamela; her grandson, Joseph Stewart; and her granddaughters, Bella and Brianna Stewart.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her significant other, Franklin Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin B. III and David B. Carey.
