Amie Sue Whitaker

Apple Valley, CA - Amie Sue Whitaker, 31, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021. She was born April 17, 1990 in Indianapolis to the late James Whitaker and Susan Thomas Godme. She was employed in the medical industry where she served as a CNA.

Amie's hobbies included swimming and making snowmen and snow angels. She loved animals, small children and helping others. But more than anything else, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Amie was preceded in death by her father, James Whitaker; sister, Brandy Nichole Whitaker; and grandmother, Lois Whitaker. She is survived by her sons: Bryson James, Brydan Lee and "DJ" Damien James; mother, Susan Godme; grandfather, James Whitaker; grandparents, Ronald and Judy Thomas; and many other family members and friends.

Amie's family will receive friends Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1 pm. A committal service will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
