Allan Keith Ford, age 65 of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born October 20, 1957 in Kentucky the son of Doris (Ford) Shelby. Keith was a member of the class of 1976 at Thomas Jefferson High School. He professed his faith in the Lord at Greater Faith Baptist Church. He enlisted in the United States Marines in 1976 and was honourably discharged in 1978. He was a disabled Marine veteran and worked many years at Ryan's Steakhouse and Buffett and also at various temp agencies throughout the years. Keith enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting. He also liked to watch sports, especially basketball and football. More than anything, Keith will be remembered as a loving son and brother.
Keith is survived by his mother, Doris Shelby; sister, Gwen Caudell; brother, Willie (Stacey) Shelby; special son, Da'mian Murray; 7 nephews, Monte (Alecia) Caudell, Kennedy Shelby, Khalil Lyons, Cashton Caudell, Kam'ryn Caudell, D'Andre Bell and Cash Moore; 3 nieces, Jennae (Anthony) Stevens, Amauryia Jenkins and Demaria Moore; 4 step-brothers; 3 step-sisters; and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service honoring Keith's life will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Pastor Christopher Armstrong officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the funeral home. Military honors will take place at the beginning of the funeral service by the United States Marines Honor Guard and Indianapolis Veteran Honors Guard. Following the service there will be a repass at 2333 Station.
