Karen Lynn Sullivan

Indianapolis - Karen Lynn Hooper Sullivan, 58, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was born August 2, 1964 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James "Red" and Irene Dickens Hooper. Karen graduated from Manual Technical High School in 1982 and from Clark College with a degree in medical assisting in 1990. She married Jerry Sullivan in 1983 in Mooresville, IN. She was a member of Lifeway Church where she was a part of the Secret Sisters group that shared gifts with each other anonymously.

Karen's hobbies included scrapbooking, crafting and gardening. She loved her family and her church. Additionally, she enjoyed studying her Bible.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Terry Hooper. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Sullivan; children: Victoria Shearer, Danielle Sullivan and Zachary Sullivan; sister, Brenda Gail Smith; brothers: James Hooper, Jr., Johnny Hooper and Larry Hooper; grandchildren: Kimberly (Ash) Shearer, Katie Shearer, Jamie Shearer, Jessilyn Shearer, Everly Shearer, Parker Stone, Johnny Stone, Betty Stone, Ivy Sullivan, Rowan Sullivan, Grayson Sullivan, Izzy (River) Bender- Sullivan; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Karen's family will receive friends Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm.
